Disaster Recovery as a Service

Platformed reliability over cloud

Typically disaster recovery comprises of huge infrastructure costs as well as high recurring operational costs for maintenance. With eNlight Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaS) you can set up a disaster recovery site with only 10% cost of your current IT infrastructure. eNlight DRaS ensures 100% business uptime so you no longer have to worry about business continuity in the wake of a disaster.

DRaS enables complete automation of the disaster recovery process and hence you save a significant amount of time in set-up and restoration of the DR site. DRaS empowered by eNlight cloud technology enables you to facilitate a single DR site for multiple data centers worldwide. This ensures there is no redundant infrastructure cost which minimizes costs as well. Hence you can leverage 50% to 85% reduction in hardware cost with eNlight DRaS.

DRaS on eNlight is an ideal solution for business continuity irrespective of the size of businesses. Enterprises with multiple data centers and larger IT set-ups can save even more with eNlight DRas as only a single DR site ensures efficient operations. eNlight DRaS is a complete auto-scalable solution which scales up to 32 CPUs and 96 GB of RAM during a disaster and scale down as per need. eNlight works on a pay-per-consumption model which means you pay for complete resources only when the disaster strikes. The availability of data center monitoring tool and 24 x 7 support ensures smooth functioning of operations at the DR site.

Benefits of DR with eNlight:

  • You don't have to pay for the entire setup. Pay only for the disk space and server resources which are required to replicate the data from the main site.
  • You have to pay only when the disaster strikes and your DR server is actually used.

Under normal working circumstances:

  • The main Datacenter where the site is hosted is on high resource usage.
  • The DR has low resource usage (which indicates low billing cost).
  • Traffic will be flowing to the main Datacenter server.
  • A continuous sync is maintained between the main Datacenter server and the DR Virtual Servers under eNlight monitoring.

DR Flow in case of a disaster:

  • The main Datacenter crashes.
  • DR gets activated.
  • Thus, immediately the sites' route gets switched/ changed to the DR location.
  • Thus the DR is automatically scaled up due to heavy traffic of users directed on it (indicates high billing).

Recovery Flow post disaster:

  • The main Datacenter is restored to normal state.
  • The site is again rerouted from the DR virtual servers to main Datacenter servers.
  • The DR is then scaled down to it's original minimal state (which indicates low billing).
